This lightning protection training course provides everything you require, plus a two-year membership of the Academy, which provides unlimited access 24/7 so you can come back to review, reassess, check, or even show a client any or all training units and modules at your leisure.

The training is broken down into three specific areas as follows;

Part 1 – Online
In Part 1, you carry out the BSEN 62305 Foundation training, covering an in-depth training programme on the first three parts of the standard and an introduction to what they do & how they work together. Followed by an introduction to part four on surge protection.
When you complete this part, you will be issued the Foundation Certification. This will trigger your two-year membership, allowing full access to all training received. Allowing for revision/review and triggering the next part of the Accreditation process.

Part 2 – Online
In Part 2, you extend your learning on the introduction to BSEN 62305 Part 4, which provides a very in-depth series of training units. You expand your new knowledge of surge protection for all the requirements to ensure the protection of electrical and electronic systems within structures.

Part 3 – Classroom
Parts 1 and 2 are carried out totally to meet your time scale. Part 3 is a one-day in the classroom face-to-face with your instructor; it will be split into two segments. The first is a revision period, where you get a set time to discuss and review any particular areas that need attention before moving into the written Q&A section, followed by the exam’s design/layout/drawing segment.
From the completion of Part 1 and 2, you will have the two-year membership period to successfully complete Part 3, which requires an 80% pass rate for the award of the BSEN 62305 ‘Protection against Lightning’ Accreditation Certification, which is valid for five years.

Note – If you do not complete Part 3 within the two-year window, you must restart the process to gain accreditation.
